The Team Dynamics Assessment (TDA) helps you identify unhelpful team dynamics within your team, dynamics that may be inhibiting teamwork and holding back team performance.

Team Dynamics can strongly influence how a team reacts, behaves or performs, but they are often difficult to see, they are unconscious.  They are a bit like the hidden currents in a river or sea:  you can't see currents that are below the surface, but you may suspect they are there if you notice boats and swimmers ending up in different places to where they wanted to be.  In a similar manner, team dynamics have a hidden impact on teams such that the team ends up where it doesn't want to be: doing things that are unproductive;  failing to achieve objectives;  causing bad feelings in the group;  or generating frustration because the team is failing to achieve its full potential.

The first step in taking control of team dynamics is to get some insight, to become aware of the dynamics that are having a hidden influence on the team.  Once you have insight, you can then take action based on that insight.  And the better the insight you have, the more able you are to identify appropriate action to remedy the situation.

This is where the TDA can help.  It helps you identify the hidden team dynamics that may be operating within a team.  You can either complete the questionnaire yourself, using the single version of the TDA, or you can collate the views from a number of people using the 360 version.  The latter involves a bit more work on your part, but the quality of insight you get can be improved by having a variety of views other than just your own.
